A tiling that changes shape without ever stopping being a tiling. The cells sit on a fixed lattice and never move, appear or vanish; only the walls between them change. Squares open into hexagons when a corner splits into a short new wall, and the two cells it separates become neighbours. When the wall shrinks back to nothing they stop being neighbours.
The panel underneath checks the laws that hold the tiling together on every frame. Most of them hold automatically because of how the tiling is built. One of them can fail: no wall may cross another. Try tangle to see it fail.
Tap a cell to follow its neighbours. This is the board a snake will run on.
