A snake on a board that changes shape, wrapped round a torus: the surface slides under you so your head always faces you. There are no edges: go far enough any way and you come round again. The board goes from hexagons to squares to hexagons leaning the other way to squares, and round again. The bar at the top counts down to each change, and the change itself is over in a single step.
On hexagons you can move diagonally. When the board goes back to squares the diagonals close, and any joint of your snake that crossed one is cut. Everything behind the first cut falls off as pellets. Gather them again before they fade. Joints at risk light up red before the change.
Tap the left or right half of the board to turn (or use ← → / A D; V for the flat map). Eat the pink, gather the gold, don't bite yourself.
