STRAND
Join each pair of coloured ends with a strand. Strands never share a cell,
and between them they must paint the whole sphere.
It starts on a buckyball. First its 60 carbon atoms: three bonds
each, and every atom a strand passes through uses exactly two. Then its
32 panels, which are too open to have one answer on their own, so
they come carved: walls you can't cross, and bridges, where
two strands must pass straight through one cell, one each way.
Draw from either end: each colour's two halves grow independently
and join when they meet. Cutting through another colour takes only the
cell you cross. The corner map shows the whole sphere at once;
the lock keeps one finger for drawing, with two fingers to turn.
Every wall is load-bearing. Each level was carved by a solver until
exactly one answer was left, then every wall that didn't matter was
taken out again.
