OUTBOUND

Europa, twenty-fourth century, the eleventh year of the war for the ocean underneath. You are running a convoy across the ice.

Drag a name onto the ice to send them out.
Drag the cell gauge onto the ice to run them hot and push past.
Drag a name into the core to lay up and let them recover.

Everything outside the shielded core sits inside Jupiter's radiation belt. Two trips out is what a person has in them — the second is the one they do not come back from. Cells you can take on at every depot. People you cannot.

The whole route is charted before you roll, and the horizon fogs over where dead reckoning says you stop. That is the crew's guess, not the truth — they are usually wrong, and they are never wrong in your favour.

Nothing will warn you. When the run ends you get the whole thing drawn out: every decision, how many ways there were through it, and the exact crossing where the last of them closed.
