ONE COAST

In 1943 Buckminster Fuller unfolded the Earth onto an icosahedron and found a way to cut it so the continents became one island in one ocean. The molecule named after him, C60, is the same shape.

Build a world on one. Its twelve pentagons are laid already, each a mountain massif or an ocean deep. You hold three hexagons; lay them anywhere beside the map, turned any way. Where sides disagree you make a cliff: allowed, but a cliff joins nothing.

The world closes as you build it. Finish with one continent and one ocean (exactly one coastline) and no cliffs. A perfect world was in the bag from the start.
